Rubbish at bahia inglesa

Rubbish is strewn across the rocks. Used papers discarded lie dirtying the view of the turquoise waters and curling smashing waves that lap the shore.
Plastic floats in the sea. I grab a plastic spoon, thoughtlessly discarded and take it to a bar to dispose of. On my way back I find dozens of plastic items, haphazardly speckled on the white sands.
Together with the lovely Argentinians I have met at the hostel we set out to make a beautiful sandcastle. We venture over three bays to find the most beautiful shells we can to decorate it. Agustina has a sharp eye and finds the most dazzling orange shell hidden below some rocks. She sets it right at the top, on the tower.
Later, the tide changes and the sea turns to take back what is its possession. This is what I like most about building sandcastles, watching nature take back what is its. The waves splash over the walls and slowly take the castle away from us.
A man comes over to admire the castle and asks to take a shell. Of course I say yes. Suddenly, a swarm of people descend on the castle, stripping it of its beauty before the rising tide can even take its nature back unto itself.
